The expansive Southern Arizona region stretches from the metropolitan Tucson area to the north, to the surrounding mountain ranges, the Santa Cruz River Valley and the U.S. border to the south. Active Adult Community
Quail Creek offers many recreational wellness and fitness activities that cater to varying levels of experience, and support a vibrant 55+ active adult lifestyle. To reside in Quail Creek, at least one resident per household must be age 55 or older, and there can be no permanent residents under age 18. Age restrictions apply to occupancy only, not ownership.

Quail Creek Amenities
Quail Creek offers a wide variety of first class amenities for retirement living. Amenities include the Madera Clubhouse with a lounge, coffee shop serving breakfast 6 days a week, a library, billiard room, ballroom, and more. The Anza Athletic Club offers everything from aquatic sports to aerobic workouts. The Grill at Quail Creek offers indoor and outdoor dining areas, board room with fireplace for private parties, a lounge, and a U-shaped bar for enjoying happy hours with friends. The Quail Creek Golf Club is a popular course for golfers of all skill levels including juniors and seniors. Outdoor recreation includes tennis, pickle ball, bocce, and a dog park.
Surrounding Area
Famous for its dramatic beauty, the Sonoran Desert covers the region with spectacular cacti – including the majestic Saguaro, a symbol of the American Southwest. The region is surrounded by mountain ranges and canyons in all directions, offering scenic drives, extraordinary hiking trails, and even snow skiing. Nearby Madera Canyon is renowned for exotic bird watching and hiking trails in the cool pines of the Coronado National Forest.
In addition, the surrounding Green Valley/Sahuarita area offers a multitude of activities, shopping, dining, medical services and more. With Tucson about a half hour’s drive from Quail Creek, there’s no shortage of attractions, festivals, events and day trips.
Weather
Southern Arizona is famous for its mild winters and clear blue skies. While we do reach the occasional 100+ temperatures during the summer months, evening hours and summer nights are mild with temperatures typically in the low to mid-70’s. Winter months bring average daytime highs around 60-70 degrees, with cool nights averaging around 40 degrees, however it is not uncommon for overnight lows in January to dip below 30 degrees. Elevation is 2,980 ft.
Our desert climate boasts 300 days of sunshine annually, with average rainfall of about 13 inches per year, making Southern Arizona an outstanding location for year-round outdoor activities.
